Zee Designs

Smartypaws Canine Coaching began with one instructor, a few students, and a couple of classes held in MaryKay Grahn's backyard. In 2003, all she really needed was a way for her students to register themselves, their dogs, and sign-up for a class — Zee Designs created that.

Now, a few years later, Smartypaws operates from a commercial location, employs multiple instructors, runs hundreds of classes, serves thousands of student and dog teams annually, and offers a multitude of additional services. With this significant increase in volume and service options, keeping track of all the variables of running the business became unmanageable.

In the Spring of 2011, the creative concept, direction, planning, and strategy processes began to develop a more robust solution to manage the business between Smartypaws and their students and clients. Students wished to be able to sign-up for multiple classses at once, pay online, request private training, schedule ring time, and manage schedules for multiple dogs. Instuctors wished to view their schedules for a specfied period of time, communicate with students either one-on-one or to an entire class of students, and even have the solution text their students when classes are cancelled.

The full-featured K9 Activity Center went live in Fall 2011 and has received numerous compliments and expressions of gratitude from Smartypaws personnel and their customers.

The K9 Activity Center is a solution built to grow as the business of Smartypaws continues to grow. Many additional features are planned for the new future to enhance the services between Smartypaws, its instructors, students, clients, and veterinary affiliates.
